Istanbul and Cappadocia — with a balloon flight
Istanbul · Cappadocia · Göreme
Türkiye's two strongest experiences in one programme: the history of Istanbul and a sunrise balloon flight over Cappadocia, with a spare day built in for the flight.

Türkiye · Hot-air balloons and fairy chimneys
Volcanic tuff, eroded over millennia, has left a landscape that looks like another planet. At dawn hundreds of balloons rise at once.
Cappadocia is a historic region in central Türkiye and a UNESCO site. Houses, churches and entire underground cities are carved into the soft rock — Derinkuyu descends eight levels.
The centrepiece of the trip is a balloon flight at sunrise. Flights depend on the weather, so we always build in a spare day: if the first morning is cancelled, you fly the next.
April–June and September–October give the steadiest flying weather. Winter offers beautiful snowscapes but a higher chance of cancellation.
Entry: The general rule for Türkiye applies: visa-free for up to 30 days.
Flights: Via Istanbul: a 1 hour 20 minute domestic flight to Kayseri or Nevşehir, then a 45-minute drive.
Currency: Turkish lira (TRY).
